Young Business Leaders teaches practical, Biblical
principles for issues such as balancing career responsibilities with
family commitments. We help you discover God's perspective on your life
and your roles as businessman, friend, husband and father. As you see
these truths impact your life, you will be encouraged to help others
apply these same principles. You may get involved in YBL in the
following ways: Businessmen's Discipleship Small Group
These groups are for men that have
completed the foundational discipleship study entitled--"Comcentrating
on the Majors." They provide a source of friendships, personal
accountability, comraderie, practical assistnce, and encouragement in
the midst of the challenges business leaders face in the marketplace
(as well as their personal life). Several of these groups have been
together for over 10 years.
Leader-to-Leader Forum
Leader-to-Leader Forum is a monthly meeting of men led by local
businessmen geared to address ethical, moral, and relational issues
that men face in the marketplace. Each meeting will focus on a
specific topic and offer Biblical solutions and practical advice on how
to live in a way that honors Christ and advances His Kingdom.
Mentoring
In life, and in business, making the
right decisions is essential for success and longevity. Whether it be
balancing career and family, starting or losing a business, the right
career path, or personal issues, YBL seeks to connect men in
mentoring relationship where they can learn from other Godly men whose
ambitions are to honor Christ.
Quarterly Dinner Banquets
Our banquets provide a safe environment
for men to hear the inside story of a nationally recognized industry
leader in business, sports, and/ or politics. Our speakers provide
powerful stories of their struggles, their successes, and what means
most to them in their lives--which is always related to their personal
connection with Jesus Christ.. Past featured banquet speakers include
Mr. Dan Cathy--CEO Chick-fal-a, Mr. Jack Eckerd, of Eckerd's Drugs, Mr Ken Blanchard--Business Management Consultant and Author, Mr. Mickey Blackwell-Former CEO Lockheed-Martin Corp., and Mr. Adolph Coors IV.
Committees
The Banquet Committee
works with the logistics associated with the banquet, securing and
hosting speakers, onsite coordination and getting people to our dinner
meetings. Participation on the Banquet Committee provides a tangible
contribution to YBL's banquet effort and is also a great opportunity to
connect with others involved with YBL.
The Follow Up Committee coordinates the
follow up activities for each first time guest, each person requesting
a study, new believers and individuals requesting more information
about Jesus. Assisting in YBL's Banquet Follow-up effort is a great
opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others, and
provides a chance to network with other businessmen in the Huntsville
area.
